tilmon engineering

An R&D shop, looking for what to build.

Tilmon Engineering is a one-person research and engineering firm. I'm currently in prototyping mode — building small, specific things to find out which problems are worth solving for real.

what this is

A front page for a series of prototypes.

This site collects landing pages for prototypes I'm exploring. As each one ships, it gets its own page linked from here. If something resonates with an audience, it graduates into a more durable product or service.

how I work

I work in short cycles: pick a specific problem, build the smallest thing that could address it, put a page in front of it, and see whether anyone pulls for it. The pages on this site are part of that loop.

I don't yet know what Tilmon Engineering will end up being. That uncertainty is the point of the current phase — I'd rather find product-market fit by trying things than guess at it.

If you stumble onto a prototype and have an opinion about it — that it's interesting, that it misses, that you'd use it, that you wouldn't — I want to hear about it. Each prototype page will have its own way to reach me.

who runs this

Tilmon Engineering is run by Sean Edwards. One person, no team, no marketing department. Any plural pronoun on this site refers to me and the prototype, not to a staff that doesn't exist.

The firm is registered as Tilmon Engineering, LLC. The legal name appears only in the footer; everywhere else I'll just say Tilmon Engineering.
